Held across three days, Sounds of the Underground: Music Scenes in LA from the 1960s-2000s brings together Los Angeles-based scholars, cultural workers, and music creatives to unpack the underground sounds and deep cuts of LA’s diverse popular music soundscapes.
Campus collaborators will include Dr. José Anguiano, Cal State LA Assistant Professor in the Honors College and the Department of Chicana/o and Latina/o Studies, the Department of Chicana/o and Latina/o Studies, the Office of Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging, and the Rare Book School.
