Ben Levine and Julia Schulz will be presenting their donation of the TAVICO (Taller de Video Comunitario de Oaxaca/Oaxacan Community Video) archive to Special Collections and Archives. This archive contains close to 20 years of community-based, indigenous language documentation and revitalization efforts. Taking an anticolonial and antiextractivist approach, TAVICO's methodology provides communities with the tools they need to create high quality documentation of their languages, and to encourage conversations about language use and loss.
